Welcome to the website of my office. As an attorney, I am on your side and will represent you both inside and outside of the courtroom. I am your partisan lobbyist through various fields of law – always with a full commitment to your needs. My primary focus is specialized in asylum and residence law as well as criminal law.

It is worthwhile to obtain legal support at an early stage, especially if the immigration authorities, the police or the public prosecutor’s office cause you any trouble. No matter what legal trouble you face: I am fully committed to you.

Please feel free to make an appointment by telephone or e-mail. A consultation is also possible in Spanish and German.

Profile

I’m originally from Santiago de Chile. I moved to Germany in 2008 and studied law at Humboldt University in Berlin from 2009 to 2014. From 2015 to 2017, I completed my legal clerkship at the Berlin Court of Appeal. Already during my legal clerkship, I was providing legal support to Spanish-speaking people.

At the beginning of 2018, I founded my law firm and since then have been working as an independent lawyer in a community law office in Kreuzberg. In addition to my legal skills, my own migration background aids me in representing my clients with commitment and empathy.

I am a member of the Republican Lawyers‘ Association. (RAV), the Registered Association of Defence Lawyers in Berlin and the Berlin Bar Association.

Areas of Law

Rights of Asylum and Residence:

I primarily work in the field of residence and asylum law (aka: “Immigration Law”). I can advise and represent you in all matters of residence law. I am delighted to assist in issues concerning your visa, residence permit or work permit.

Furthermore, I am able to accompany you to your hearing at the Federal Office for Migration and Refugees (BAMF). This hearing is decisive to the entire asylum procedure.

Authorities often convey the feeling of facing an overpowering opponent. With my experience and competence, I will stand up for you. No matter what the problem is, I will help you set it right.

Nationality Law:

I aim to support you in initiating and carrying out your naturalisation procedure. I am able to check whether the requirements for acquiring German citizenship are met and, if desired, will take over the entire procedure.

Criminal Defence:

Competent and partial criminal defence is crucial. If you are aware that you are under investigation, it is advisable to seek legal assistance as soon as possible. As your defence lawyer, I will assist you at every stage of the proceedings and ensure that your rights are respected by the police, the public prosecutor’s office and the court.

Civil Action:

If you are the victim of a crime (whether racist, sexual or domestically violent in nature), I am happy to advise and represent you. I am also skilled in examining the possibility of civil law claims for damages (i.e. “contract of adhesion”) and possible claims under the Victim Compensation Act.

Law Office

My office is located at Gneisenaustr. 83 in Berlin-Kreuzberg and is part of a community office of five lawyers:

Our office deals in particular with criminal law, asylum & residence law, constitutional law, tenancy law, social law as well as IT and media law. Costs

The remuneration of the legal services provided by my firm is generally determined by the German Lawyers‘ Remuneration Act (Rechtsanwaltsvergütungsgesetz – RVG). The amount of the fees depends on the value of the object and the scope of the activity.

A fee agreement is concluded with the client for certain activities. In these cases, the RVG does not apply.

Costs of initial legal advice: As a rule, between 80 and 190 euros (including VAT) will be charged for initial legal advice. In the case of a subsequent activity, the consultancy fee will be deducted from further costs.

Advice or legal aid: If you have only a small income, it is possible that the State Treasury will bear the costs of my assignment.

In order to obtain a consulting assistance certificate, you must apply for it at the legal application office of the district court in your district. If you bring the counselling aid certificate with you to the first counselling interview, the counselling will only cost 15 Euros.

You will find further information on the counselling aid certificate – here.

Legal aid is granted for court proceedings if you are not in a position to bear the legal costs due to your financial circumstances.
